FC United’s Community Team are running a course is aimed at young people aged 16-19 with an interest in football. You will work with an FC United Coach to learn football coaching skills and you will also learn how to maintain physical fitness and support and encourage other people to do the same. You will be offered opportunities to apply for paid work on a school holiday project over the February half term, helping our coaches to run sports-based sessions for children. A DBS check will, therefore, be required.
On completion of training you will achieve a Level 1 Award in Skills for Coaching Football, PEARL Award Employability Skills and Level 1 award in Progression. We will also support you in developing your career in sports coaching or other careers requiring the soft skills you have developed with work on developing your CV and interview skills.
